Saturday mornings are different as one Saturday could bring work, another more sleep and a third one- a date ;-) This day today bought me present to THIS MOMENT, right now...
An alarm was set for 0600 hrs and I knew with confidence, I would wake up ;-) No, no, don't keep your hopes too high... I did not!!!
By the way, that is me! The rain (my favourite!) showers in Delhi bought the temperature down in the beginning of Summers itself (Rain Gods, can't thank you enough for this!) and the night that went by, was chilly! Well, chilly by the standards of March in New Delhi. This left me with broken sleep and though, I was fresh to get up at 0600 hrs (actually, 0606 hrs- I like any different thing from the usual, like many of us!), I thought the day can wait for me to wake up and be ready to spend it working...
Eyes opened a couple of times and yes, I did refrain from checking my new iPhone (show off!) as my sister complains an teases me to be an addict of this new gadget in my hand! I did not check it- no, no, did not check FB, not even Whatz App and SMS- nope! Did I check the phone for missed calls- Naaah... So first success of the day, I ignored this new instrument and went to sleep again to wake up at 0830 hrs and message a few people to know I miss them when I open my eyes... :) Good Morning!
Shower would have made more sense with cold water; I managed with lukewarm one and the morning began...
It is different, I woke up to work and I did not, SMS and Whatz App waited for me to come to them, had a different breakfast of parantha and dal and subzi right in the morning and spoke to a friend briefly...
As I sat down to begin my meditation, there was silence within and a wave of happiness seems to have a ripple effect on my being :) Then I got present to something- I could hear my parents talk, my mother conversing with the maid off and on and it looked as if the nature was responding to their conversations... The crow said something, which went beyond my comprehension and the squirrels assembled for their little conference over the weekend. The horns are blowing in the distance and some house work is happening a few appartments far... I could get aware of all this while my eyes were shut and a part of being was peacefully meditating...
It is then it occured to me- this is-
life, as usual... :)
